1. Description of Service
VagaIA is an online service that allows users to compare their Curriculum Vitae (CV) with job offers, obtaining a compatibility score and an AI-generated adapted version of the CV.
The service is operated by Tiago de Jesus Santos, reachable at suport@vagaia.pt.
2. Eligibility
To use VagaIA, you must be at least 18 years old. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
3. Account and Responsibility
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity carried out from your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- You may only create one account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent service limitations is prohibited.
- You must provide true and up-to-date information at the time of registration.
4. Tokens and Payments
Token System
- Access to analyses is managed by a token system. Each analysis consumes 1 token.
- When you create a free account, you receive 2 welcome analyses.
- You can purchase additional token packages (Pack S, Pack M, Pack L) as one-time payments.
Payments
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc.
- Prices are shown in euros (€) and include VAT where applicable.
- Purchased tokens have no expiry date while the account remains active.
Refund Policy
Token and subscription payments are non-refundable, except in the following cases:
- A proven technical error that prevented use of the service;
- Unintentional duplicate payment.
To request a refund, contact us at suport@vagaia.pt within 14 days of the transaction, including proof of payment.
5. Referral Programme
VagaIA offers a referral programme that allows registered users to invite others and earn additional tokens when those people create an account.
- Rewards: when a user invites an unregistered person and that person creates an account via the invite link, both receive 3 additional tokens. Tokens are credited at the moment the invitee registers.
- Email invitations: by using the email invite feature, you confirm that you have authorisation or a legitimate relationship with the recipient to send that communication. Mass or unsolicited invitations (spam) are not permitted.
- Prohibition of abuse: creating fictitious accounts or using automated methods to generate referral rewards artificially is expressly prohibited. Violation of this rule may result in the cancellation of tokens earned and suspension of the account.
- No guarantee of continuation: we reserve the right to modify or terminate the referral programme at any time, without prejudice to tokens already credited at the date of the change.
6. Acceptable Use
By using VagaIA, you agree not to:
- Upload illegal, defamatory, offensive content or content that infringes third-party rights;
- Attempt to access other users' data;
- Use the service in an automated manner (bots, scrapers) without written authorisation;
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the platform's source code;
- Use the service for illegal or fraudulent purposes;
- Resell or sublicense access to the service.
7. Intellectual Property
- Your content: content you upload (CVs, personal data) remains yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the service.
- Our service: the code, design, brand and technology of VagaIA are the property of Tiago de Jesus Santos and are protected by intellectual property rights. You may not copy, modify or distribute any part of the service without written authorisation.
- AI-generated results: adapted CVs and analyses generated by the service are provided for personal use. We do not guarantee originality or the absence of overlap with third-party content.
8. Limitation of Liability
VagaIA is a job application support tool. Scores and CVs generated are produced by artificial intelligence and are indicative and non-binding. We do not guarantee that use of the service will result in interviews, job offers or any other professional outcome.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you, for any cause, is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including loss of employment opportunities, even if we have been informed of the possibility of such damages.
9. Service Availability
We strive to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may suspend the service temporarily for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control. We are not responsible for losses resulting from temporary unavailability.
10. Account Termination
You can delete your account at any time via Profile → Account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible — all your data is erased. Unused tokens are not refunded upon voluntary account deletion.
We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice in serious cases (fraud, malicious activity).
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify users by email of material changes. Continued use of the service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. For dispute resolution, the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts, without prejudice to the consumer user's right to resort to alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, namely through the Portuguese Consumer Portal.
